On Saturday night, 24 July 2021, John Froeschauer, retired Interpretive Specialist for Tennessee State Parks and members of Friends of Cedars of Lebanon State Park, will set up moth lights and other attractants for a fun night of moth spotting at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. This event is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome.
John will set up behind the Dixon Merritt Nature Center about dusk, so plan to get there by 8:00 PM. If you have a moth field guide, bring it. Also bring a camera. Some of these moths are spectacular.
National Moth Week is 17-25 July 2021. For more information on this annual event and on attracting moths, visit: http://nationalmothweek.org/
